Drowning in boxes!!

My excitement got the best of me this weekend.  I worked so hard at packing up rooms and tagging items for the garage sale (14 hours in a chair tagging) I couldn't walk by the time I went to bed.  I woke up with shooting pain down my one arm.  Maybe I should take it easy.  But I am so excited to get back  HOME.  Our family, even though we know God had us here for a reason, has been very unsettled the majority of the time we've been here.  We are very much out of place.  We definitely belong in the Silicon Valley.  We crave innovation, learning, exploring.  We spend so much time in museums and just taking advantage of what the Valley has for us.  I realized my kids are not "better off" in a small town environment.  They crave the "Geek" vibe of San Jose.   I'm proud of San Jose. I truly am proud to call San Jose, California my home.  I don't think I've ever, in the 15 years I lived there, thought to say that.  But its true.  I see the Sharks emblem and I get all giddy with excitement.  People say they can tell I love it there because when I talk about it I beam.  Which surprises me a lot.  I never thought I was as attached to San Jose.  But I am.  Its home.  Blogging about it brings tears to my eyes.  I miss it for so many reasons.   Today.... I signed the kids up for two sessions each of summer camp at The Tech.  They were so excited I couldn't get them to go to bed.  I just hope San Jose is ready to have the Byrne's back!
